This webinar will provide a brief overview of pediatric trauma and its unique challenges of specialized end-of-life care for children following major trauma. There will be a focus on the multidisciplinary approach to communication and shared decision-making that is required between health professionals and the child's family during the decision-making process. We will discuss the emotional and psychological support required for both the child and their family at this time. We will also emphasize the importance of compassionate and dignified end-of-life care for pediatric trauma patients whilst acknowledging the profound impact such care can have on families during their difficult journey.

She is the STN International Director and chairs the international committee as well as participating in several committees. Helen is the Australian & New Zealand Trauma Society, President & a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Trauma Committee. She is an ATLS & an Emergency Trauma Management Coordinator & she is undertaking her Masters of Traumatology.
